Calm Anxiety with Scripture Meditation and Bilateral Music

Over the past few weeks, I’ve created a number of resources for people who are interested in learning about Christian-based meditation strategies. Here’s my most recent video that you might fight helpful for calming anxiety.

This calming Christian meditation for anxiety is paired with bilateral stimulation music. Bilateral music is heard as rhythmic tones that alternate between your left and right ears. To hear this alternating pattern, listen to this meditation with ear phones. Bilateral stimulation produces a relaxation effect in your body. You may also find that it enhances your ability to pay attention to the Scripture readings.

Each Scripture passage is paired with bilateral music and then followed by 20 seconds of music on its own. Use these pauses between the Scriptures to reflect in a way that makes sense to you. You might use this time to breathe deeply. You may want to focus on a word or phrase that stuck out to you in the Scripture that was just read. Or, you might use that time to simply rest in the presence of God.
